Ross Kemp has exclusively told GB News reporter Isobel Feculak who he thinks has what it takes to emerge victorious in Friday night’s Celebrity Traitors finale.

The EastEnders actor, who was murdered by the Traitors during his stint on this year’s series, became a firm fan-favourite thanks to his steadfast loyalty to the Faithful.

But in a cruel twist of fate for Mr Kemp, he fell victim to a secret mission by Traitors Maya Jama, King Kenny, and James Acaster, who managed to make him yawn and inadvertently seal his own fate.

With the BBC game show cementing itself as this year’s most talked-about TV event, GB News’ South of England reporter Isobel quizzed Mr Kemp about the series as he helped kick off The Royal British Legion’s 2026 Poppy Appeal.

“We have to talk about the series that has been keeping the nation hooked,” Isobel said.

“You were a Faithful on The Traitors this year. What’s it like watching yourself back? Are you kicking yourself at times?”

Mr Kemp replied: “I’ve had to watch it via a link because I’ve been traveling around. I’ve been in Israel, Germany, Austria, and Ireland and various other places.

“So I’ve had to watch it via a link on my phone. Look, it’s not really about me. It is a real team effort, whether you’re a Traitor or whether you’re a Faithful.

“But I’ll always be 100 percent Faithful!”

And it’s Mr Kemp’s unwavering loyalty to his Faithful cohort that has inspired his prediction for Friday’s finale.

“We’ve got the final coming up. Who are you backing? Traitors or Faithful?” Isobel asked, to which Mr Kemp emphatically replied: “Always the Faithful! Always the Faithful.”

As well as their chat about the star-studded show, Mr Kemp delved into why The Royal British Legion’s 2026 Poppy Appeal is so important to him.

“Well, this is the 20th year. I took over eight years ago from the late Dame Barbara Windsor,” he began.

“Most of my family have served in our armed forces. This year particularly, we’re looking at families; we’re looking at the support they need.

“It’s not just service personnel and our veterans; it’s also the families because they sort of serve as well.”

The 62-year-old went on: “People often ask me… it will be 20 years next year from when I first went out to Afghanistan, and I was talking to a couple of my friends who are actually serving soldiers when I was filming them.

“And we were saying, ‘What was the hardest thing about Afghanistan? Was it being shot at? Was it getting diarrhoea and vomiting? Was it the heat? The fear?’

“We both agreed that the hardest thing was coming home and looking into the eyes of the mothers who had lost their sons.

“So I think it’s really poignant that we think about families when we buy a poppy, not just those that have served and our veterans.”

Across the capital today, volunteers will be doing their bit to raise funds for the Royal British Legion, and the support and work ethic of all involved is something that Mr Kemp holds close to his heart.

“Poppy Day 20 years ago was literally 50 people. And you know what? I think there’ll be 250,000 people out today collecting,” he told Isobel.

“The need is greater now than it probably ever has been. We live in a more dangerous world. As I travel the world and look at some of the interesting places, having been to the Ukraine, having been to Iraq, Syria and Libya, we live in a more dangerous place now than we have for many, many years.

“And when things go wrong, we call on our armed forces. We call on the service personnel that we see in uniform we rarely get to meet.

“So this is a great opportunity to go up. If you’re traveling around London today – there’ll be bands playing in various train stations – go up and say hello, go up and say thank you.

“We should be celebrating the fact that we have such a brilliant armed forces.”
