Prince Harry and Prince William remain estranged and are not speaking to one another, it has been reported, despite claims that the brothers had resumed communication.

Friends of the Duke of Sussex had previously claimed that the siblings “do communicate.”

One source told the Mail: “It would have been the most amazing signal to everybody if William had managed to be at Highgrove.”

However, according to Hello!, this is false, and the princes are not in contact.

This ongoing silence would explain why no reunion between the brothers occurred when Harry and Meghan visited Britain earlier this month.

The brothers have been estranged since Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020.

Their relationship deteriorated further following a series of public interviews in which Harry and Meghan discussed private family matters, as well as the publication of Harry’s explosive autobiography, Spare.

The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex last appeared together publicly at King Charles’s Coronation in May 2023.

Both attended the funeral of their maternal uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, in Norfolk in August 2024.

However, reports indicate they neither spoke nor sat beside each other during the service.

While reconciliation with his brother remains elusive, Harry did manage to spend time with the King during his UK trip.

The duke met his father at Highgrove, bringing Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, to see their grandfather in person for the first time since the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

According to the Times, Harry emerged from the family gathering feeling “buoyed and energised”.

A source suggested he views it as a potential turning point: “Every journey of a thousand miles begins with one footstep.”
