The Royal Family’s official website has been modified to show Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in eighth position on the succession page, removing his previous designation as Duke of York.

This adjustment occurred after Buckingham Palace declared on October 17 that Andrew would cease using his remaining honours and titles.

His individual profile was eliminated from the website in early November, with visitors encountering an error message stating the page cannot be located.

The succession listing now displays his civilian name, positioning him after Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex in the hereditary order.

American legislators have expressed strong disapproval after Andrew failed to meet their November 20 deadline for cooperation.

Sixteen Congress members sent correspondence on November 6 seeking his participation in their Epstein trafficking investigation.

The House Oversight Committee highlighted financial documents containing references such as “massage for Andrew” that prompted serious concerns.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer commented over the weekend that individuals possessing pertinent information ought to be willing to provide it.

The lawmakers accused the 65-year-old former royal of evading their inquiry.

Their investigation centres on Epstein’s trafficking network, with the financier having died by suicide in a New York detention facility in 2019 whilst facing trafficking and conspiracy proceedings.

Recent revelations have intensified examination of Andrew’s relationship with Epstein, particularly correspondence from 2011 where the former prince wrote “we’re in this together” to the convicted sex offender.

This message emerged three months after Andrew had publicly stated he’d terminated all communication with Epstein.

The disclosure coincided with posthumous memoirs from Virginia Giuffre, who has accused Andrew of sexual assault when she was a teenager – allegations he firmly refutes.

Documents from Epstein’s estate were also made public by American authorities.

These developments prompted the King to formally revoke his brother’s princely status and eliminate his dukedom from the Roll of the Peerage, citing “serious lapses” in judgement.

A survey indicates that 75 per cent of British respondents believe Andrew should provide testimony to the US Congress regarding his Epstein connections.

His status as counsellor of state continues, though this position has been characterised as dormant, with only active royals eligible to perform sovereign duties temporarily.

In Northern Ireland, Mid and East Antrim Council has initiated procedures to rename Prince Andrew Way in Carrickfergus.

The street received its designation in 1986 to commemorate his marriage to Sarah Ferguson.

Council chief executive Valerie Watts acknowledged the complexity of the renaming process, noting that various organisations, including Royal Mail, must be consulted before changes can proceed.
