Martin Daubney has raged against Labour for “not having the guts to take back control” of Britain’s borders and deport foreign offenders.

Speaking with Labour activist Aisha Ali-Khan, the GB News star discussed Switzerland’s plan to hold a referendum on a 10 million population cap following a surge in immigration.

The proposal from the largest party in Switzerland’s parliament, entitled “No to a 10 million Switzerland”, would implement a population cap in the constitution.

If the proposal passes, the Swiss Government would be required to crack down on new arrivals to the country if the population reaches 9.5 million before 2050.

Doubting whether a similar proposition could be introduced in Britain, Ms Ali-Khan argued a similar proposal would not work in the UK, given Britain has never introduced such a cap – nor has it shut its borders completely.

She continued: “Secondly, how do we shut those borders? We have one of the most porous coastlines in Europe in terms of people coming in buy on boats and so on.

“How would we manage those entry points across England and the UK?”

Offering a solution, Martin argued the authorities could first address legal migration, demanding nations take back rape gang offenders.

‘We have to do something or the country will die,’ the host said

“We seem to have quite a lot of Somalians in social housing who aren’t working,” he contemplated.

“We could look at countries on a piece-by-piece basis and decide to do something about it, something positive to take back control.”

But the host doubted that his proposals would ever come to fruition, saying: “I put it to you.

“There’s more chance of me being an astronaut than this Government doing anything about that, because they haven’t got the guts.”

However, the Labour supporter attempted to shut down his idea, saying: “This idea of punishing people, innocent people who’ve done nothing wrong on the back of people who have…

“I think that’s kind of unfair. I think collective punishment is not the answer.”

But she added: “I think we should actually send people who’ve been convicted of rape, especially grooming gang offenders and perpetrators.”

Martin snapped back: “Pakistan won’t take back their rapists!”

“I think that’s kind of unfair. I think collective punishment is not the answer.”

She added: “I think we should actually send people who’ve been convicted of rape, especially grooming gang offenders and perpetrators.”

But Martin replied: “Pakistan won’t take back their rapists! “Therefore, we say no more visas. That’s not hurting innocent people. It’s telling a regime, it’s telling a country play by the rules or do one.”

Ms Ali-Khan responded, saying many involved in the grooming gangs are British-born with Pakistani heritage, so they could not be deported.

“They won’t take them back, Aisha, that’s my point,” Martin added.

Fuming, he continued: “Pakistan has said no and our Government needs to grow something between its legs and say ‘I’ll tell you what, then. No more foreign aid, no more visas given out until you play ball’. That’s my point.

“If we were sensible about immigration, we would say, this country seems to have a lot of sex offenders, not everyone, but proportionately say Afghanistan.

“And are they bringing in high skills or are they paying in tax? Are they a net contributor? And if they’re not, how about we have really strict visa impositions about how those countries are allowed in?

“If you can prove you can pay your way, fine. But if you can’t, you’re not allowed in.

“We’ve got to do something or the country is going to die.”
