A journalist was left bewildered by Meghan Markle’s ceremonial introduction during their recent interview.

The wide-ranging conversation took place across multiple locations as the Duchess of Sussex promoted her upcoming Netflix programme.

During their encounters, journalist Kaitlyn Greenidge documented various notable occurrences that came across as deliberate staging choices.

These included formal royal-style introductions in near-empty settings and unexpected theatrical gestures at high-profile venues.

During their New York meeting, an unusual scene unfolded at a friend’s Upper East Side brownstone.

The house manager made a formal proclamation of “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex” upon Ms Greenidge’s arrival, despite the apparent absence of any audience beyond the journalist herself.

Ms Greenidge wrote in Harper’s Bazaar: “When I enter, the house manager announces, ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’, even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house”, noting her bewilderment at the ceremonial introduction.

The grand residence belonged to an unnamed acquaintance of the Duchess of Sussex, serving as one of multiple venues for their discussions about her forthcoming Netflix project.

At the Beverly Hills Hotel, another memorable moment occurred when staff delivered an elaborate beverage presentation.

A waiter brought Meghan a cappuccino adorned with what Ms Greenidge described as a “photorealistic image” of the Duchess rendered in milk foam, depicting her during a South African royal engagement.

Ms Greenidge noted their “prime” table placement ensured visibility to fellow patrons, interpreting this arrangement as a “calculated choice” for the interview setting.

These theatrical elements punctuated their discussions about Meghan’s upcoming programming ventures.

The interview comes as Meghan prepares for the launch of her festive television series next month.

Netflix’s “With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration” is scheduled for release on December 3.

The article also touched upon Meghan’s ventures into food production, with Ms Greenidge referencing discussions about what she termed the Duchess’s “brave” choice to produce jam.

However, specific details about this enterprise were not elaborated upon in the feature.
