Hatters Farm in Essex has been crowned the winner of the 2025 Best British Pumpkin Patch Award, announced by Trick or Treat — the UK’s leading platform celebrating Halloween traditions and family fun.

The Pumpkin Patch Awards shine a light on farms across the country that transform the autumn season into something truly magical. Through a nationwide community vote, families were asked to choose their favourite pumpkin patches based on creativity, atmosphere, and the joy they bring to visitors.

After receiving hundreds of nominations, Hatters Farm secured the top spot, recognised for its welcoming team, innovative displays, and commitment to delivering memorable experiences for visitors of all ages.

Ross McGowan, of Hatters Farm, said:

“We’re very pleased and honoured to win the award! We’re very thankful to all the people who voted for us.”

Michelle Pearce-Burke, founder of Trick or Treat, added:

“Hatters Farm perfectly embodies what the Pumpkin Patch Awards are all about — community, creativity, and a love of all things Halloween. The fact that this was voted for by the public makes it even more special. It’s a brilliant reminder of how much joy local farms bring to families every October.”
