Cleaning with Meaning, an environmentally focused cleaning company in Kent, is marking four years in operation with a growing client base, an expanding team and plans to enter new service areas.

Established by Kelly Moore in 2021, the business now holds more than 100 contracts and is close to employing ten staff, reflecting steady development since its launch.

Kelly’s move into entrepreneurship followed years in healthcare and community work while managing the responsibilities of single parenthood.

A cleaning opportunity found online provided the starting point for a new career path, leading to a management role and eventually the creation of her own company with sustainability at its centre.

The business has consistently used environmentally responsible cleaning products, many originally developed by Kelly. Its core message, “Looking after our planet one clean at a time,” captures that approach. Kelly said: “A sustainable route is one we will always be on with this company, because I’m really passionate about the planet and people.”

With daily operations now supported by a growing team, Kelly is focusing on developing new opportunities in schools and healthcare settings, which she views as well suited to the company’s environmental ethos.

“I am talking to a school about a big new contract that would really be taking us into new territory, but what better place than education to grasp our message of sustainability, I really believe that is an ideal place,” Kelly added.

The expected increase to ten employees represents a major achievement for the firm. Kelly said: “I could not have imagined it, but we will soon have 10 employees. This is just the start – I am so passionate about helping people.”

Community involvement remains central to her work, including recent participation in a Job Centre event aimed at supporting women back into employment.

She regards this outreach as an important part of her mission. Kelly said: “I love getting up and speaking. There were more than 70 in attendance and explaining my journey to them just felt wonderful. If I can show them how I achieved this, show them it can be done, I would love to be able to bring that message to so many people.”

Looking ahead, the company aims to combine responsible growth with job creation and continued local engagement.
