Stephen Bear has today been handed a 16-month prison sentence for persistently violating a restraining order designed to shield Georgia Harrison MBE from contact.

The 36-year-old carried out a sustained campaign of abusive social media activity directed at Ms Harrison over a period spanning March to July 2025.

Despite a court order explicitly barring him from posting about her, Bear published degrading material across five platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube.

He also used his online presence to urge his followers to direct further commentary towards Ms Harrison, compounding the harassment she faced.

Senior Crown Prosecutor Andrew Young said: “Restraining orders are imposed by the courts to protect victims.

“Breaching them is a criminal offence which we will not hesitate to prosecute with the full force of the law.

“Over several months, Stephen Bear launched a campaign of abuse against Georgia Harrison MBE on his social media channels.

“He used his platforms to amplify abuse and encourage others to target her, despite being expressly prohibited from doing so.

“No woman should be made to live in fear because someone refuses to accept the restrictions placed on them by a court.

“Stephen Bear may have hidden behind a screen, but his actions had real-world consequences.

“The CPS will always seek to prosecute those who threaten, harass or intimidate women and girls, whether that behaviour takes place in person or online.”

The restraining order Bear flouted was put in place for five years in 2023, following his conviction for sharing intimate sexual images and videos of Ms Harrison with the intention of causing her distress.

He was also found guilty of voyeurism in the same case.

Those offences resulted in a 21-month custodial sentence.

The protective order was specifically intended to prevent Bear from making any contact with or reference to Ms Harrison, a condition he went on to breach repeatedly across multiple platforms over several months during 2025.

Evidence gathered by Ms Harrison and submitted to police included screenshots and screen recordings documenting Bear’s online behaviour.

Among his posts were a string of accusations and disparaging remarks aimed at Ms Harrison, as well as claims that she and her mother had conspired to pervert the course of justice, an apparent attempt to undermine his earlier convictions.

Bear went further by launching an online petition calling for a retrial and seeking access to Ms Harrison’s bank statements.

Even after several of his social media accounts were removed by platforms due to their content, he continued posting.

The CPS applied for a new restraining order which shall remain in place until further order.
