The court was told she was in her early 30s when Brand allegedly grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her into a toilet.

The prosecution told jurors the woman resisted “by struggling and pulling back,” while Brand begged her to join him, saying “Please, please come in – oh go on.”

The woman responded to Brand saying “I’m not coming in there, don’t be silly, are you mad – get off me,” the court was told.

She managed to pull herself away, at which point the prosecution said Brand “gave up” and went into the toilet.

In 2004, Brand allegedly raped and sexually assaulted a woman at a birthday party at a bar in Soho, central London.

Jurors were told Brand “lurched forward and grabbed” the woman’s breasts and “squeezed them with both hands.”

The woman was shocked, the court was told, and remembered Brand’s “big, weird grin” on his face.

Brand then allegedly pulled her into the toilets of the bar and raped the woman in one of the cubicles, prosecution told the court.

The woman, who recognised Brand from his hosting duties on Big Brother’s spin-off programme, is said to have told him “what are you doing – I don’t want to do this”.

Brand allegedly replied “Oh come on don’t be a spoilsport, you want to.”

In 2023, Brand was questioned by police over the alleged rape and told officers that any sexual activity “would have been consensual,” the court was told.

The trial continues.
