Prince Harry has revealed who he believes is Britain’s most famous Harry – but he did not choose himself.

The Duke of Sussex appeared on James Corden’s Fox programme After Hours on Sunday evening.

Joined by Corden and co-host Rio Ferdinand, the 41-year-old prince found himself cornered into ranking the nation’s most prominent Harry.

After initially resisting, the duke ultimately caved to pressure and crowned pop star Harry Styles as the United Kingdom’s most recognisable Harry.

The segment grew out of a recurring discussion that Corden and Ferdinand, the former England defender, had been running throughout the series, originally sparked by the exploits of Three Lions striker Harry Kane at the World Cup.

Pressed by the pair to be “bold,” the prince placed Styles at the top, followed by the England striker in second.

He then settled himself in a shared third position alongside the fictional wizard Harry Potter.

“And we’ll have a Quidditch off,” he quipped, drawing applause from the studio audience.

The duke’s connection to Styles dates back to the 2025 Royal Variety Performance, where he met the singer alongside his former One Direction bandmates.

Ferdinand’s own ranking differed somewhat from the duke’s. The former Manchester United captain placed Harry Potter first as – to the astonishment of Corden – and opted for Styles in second, with Kane third and Prince Harry at the foot of the list.

The appearance marked the latest chapter in a well-documented friendship between the duke and the television host. Corden, 47, was among the guests at Harry’s lavish 2018 Windsor wedding to Meghan Markle.

Following the Sussexes’ departure from royal duties and relocation to California in 2020, the pair collaborated on a memorable segment for The Late Late Show in 2021.

The duo toured Hollywood aboard an open-top double-decker bus, with stops including the house made famous by The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Prince Harry also made a point of attending the taping of The Late Late Show’s farewell episode in April 2023.

The conversation also unsurprisingly turned towards England’s agonising World Cup semi-final defeat against Argentina.

The Three Lions had taken the lead but ultimately fell 2-1 after conceding twice in the final minutes of the match.

“I think it’s a mindset,” Harry said, before elaborating: “We’re 1-0 up against Argentina, and then there was this immediate temptation to fall into defence…I don’t think that was the plan. It just happened.

“And you can’t, in 75 minutes, however long it was, try to defend a 1-0 lead against a team like that.”

Ferdinand was sufficiently impressed by the analysis to invite the duke onto his podcast.
