Prince Harry brought a pair of diamond earrings back from Ukraine as a gift for his wife, Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex has been to Ukraine twice since Russia launched its invasion in 2022, in April and September this year.

The Duchess was seen wearing them with wide-leg trousers and a silk blouse as she met a group of girls from a local STEM academy in Los Angeles.

The small pair of pavé-diamond studs by the Ukrainian brand Guzema was picked up by Harry when he attended Kyiv in September 2025 with his Invictus Games Foundation.

Following the appearance with the girls, Meghan spoke with journalist Kaitlyn Greenidge, who documented various notable occurrences that came across as deliberate staging choices.

She was left bewildered by the Duchess’s ceremonial introduction.

The conversation took place across several locations as the Duchess promoted her upcoming Netflix Christmas special.

The journalist noted formal royal-style introductions in near-empty settings and unexpected theatrical gestures at high-profile venues.

During their New York meeting, an unusual scene unfolded at a friend’s Upper East Side brownstone.

The house manager made a formal proclamation of “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex” upon Ms Greenidge’s arrival, despite the absence of any audience beyond the journalist herself.

Ms Greenidge wrote in Harper’s Bazaar: “When I enter, the house manager announces, ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’, even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house”, noting her confusion at the ceremonial introduction.

At the Beverly Hills Hotel, another unique moment occurred when staff presented an elaborate beverage.

A waiter brought Meghan a cappuccino alongside what Ms Greenidge described as a “photorealistic image” of the Duchess, rendered in milk foam and depicting her during a South African royal engagement.

Ms Greenidge noted their “prime” table placement ensured visibility to fellow patrons, interpreting this arrangement as a “calculated choice” for the interview setting.

The interview comes as Meghan prepares for the launch of her festive television series next month.

Netflix’s “With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration” is scheduled for release on December 3.

Kris Jenner shared her support for the Duchess’s upcoming show, reposting the new trailer on social media.

Rumours emerged of tension between the pair after Instagram posts featuring Harry and Meghan at Ms Jenner’s 70th birthday party earlier this month were deleted.

The alleged reason was that the duke and duchess disagreed over whether pictures of them at the party could be publicly shared, according to People magazine.
