Brooklyn Beckham has once again found himself the target of online ridicule after uploading a cookery video to Instagram on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old, who has positioned himself as an aspiring chef, shared footage of himself preparing a burger and chips alongside his business partner Zach to promote their hot sauce venture, Cloud 23.

Mr Beckham began by searing a burger patty before he turned his attention to the relish and sauce.

Using his own hot sauce as a base for his creation, he assembled the sandwich in its entirety before deciding to begin prepping and cooking homemade chips.

After slicing potatoes, soaking them in cold water, and deep frying them, Mr Beckham eventually put the fries on the plate next to the earlier assembled burger.

Inevitably, several viewers were quick to take aim at the eldest Beckham child’s culinary approach, with particular criticism directed at his timing and unconventional choice of sourdough bread as a burger bun.

“Groundbreaking. A burger with hot sauce,” one commenter wrote sarcastically, whilst another advised: “You need to work on the timing, Brooklyn, it all needs to be ready at the same time.”

“Is this a joke?” a third asked, before a fourth claimed: “He’s just trolling us now.”

“Wouldn’t the burger be cold by the time you’ve done the chips?” a fifth questioned, before a sixth brutally surmised: “Cold Grilled cheese sandwich with chips. Bravo.”

Not all responses were negative, however, with some supporters leaving comments such as “Delicious” and “Looks amazing!!”

The latest bout of criticism follows a similar reception to Brooklyn’s tuna sandwich tutorial from last month, which viewers branded “embarrassing”.

In that video, he combined tinned tuna with mayonnaise, lemon juice, chopped apple, gherkin, onion, and his signature hot sauce before frying the creation in butter.

The online mockery arrives against a backdrop of significant family turmoil for the former budding photographer, who publicly confirmed his estrangement from his parents in January.

In an 821-word statement posted at the start of the year, he levelled serious accusations against Sir David and Victoria Beckham, claiming he had been “controlled by a family that values public promotion above all else”.

Mr Beckham alleged his upbringing featured “performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships”, and stated he had no desire to reconcile with his mother, father or siblings Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.

He also claimed his mental health had dramatically improved since distancing himself from the family, describing waking each day with “peace and relief”.

His mother has since responded to some of her son’s allegations, appearing on entrepreneur Emma Grede’s podcast Aspire to reject suggestions that she and her husband had strategically built their £500 million commercial empire.

“When David and I first met, it was never our intention to start a brand,” the 52-year-old fashion designer said. “People talk about ‘Brand Beckham’. That has happened so organically.”

She also denied being an overbearing parent, insisting: “It’s never about being pushy or forcing.”

Meanwhile, Sir Davied was photographed enjoying an 18-course meal with son Romeo at the exclusive Sushi Kanesaka restaurant in Mayfair on Saturday, where dinner costs £420 per head.
