The Metropolitan Police has released footage of Russell Brand being interviewed after the comedian was convicted of one rape and three counts of sexual assault.
Appearing at Southwark Crown Court, the judge told 51-year-old Brand he could expect to receive a “significant custodial term”.
Following the conviction, the force released a series of clips from police interviews in the comedian’s investigations.
In one December 2023 sit-down, Brand read out a written statement admitting he had lived a very promiscuous life but claimed it had been “deceptively rendered in recent media attacks”.
In a clip from July 2025, the comedian was read out a statement from a young woman who had accused him of anal rape.
The 51-year-old replied he had “nothing to add at this time”.
