Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever has advertised a “new chapter” following her return to the UK last week.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is set to unveil a new sparkling wine through her brand tomorrow, marking a new commercial venture that comes barely a week after she and Prince Harry stunned observers by relocating to Birmingham with their two children.

The duchess announced the launch of the Reserve Brut on Instagram, describing it as “a new chapter to celebrate.”

“Introducing our Reserve Brut,” the social media post adds.

“Crafted in the traditional Méthode Champenoise and sourced from Napa Valley, this elegant sparkling wine was made for gathering, toasting, and savouring life’s beautiful moments.”

It represents the third wine offering from As Ever, which has already brought a Napa Valley rosé and a Marlborough sauvignon blanc to market.

The brand’s expansion into sparkling wine signals the growth and ambitions for the business, which Meghan has previously acknowledged required considerable effort to establish.

She has spoken candidly about the “twists and turns” involved in getting As Ever off the ground, admitting that much of the process involved learning “in real time.”

While Harry is anticipated to adopt a “full-time dad” role, Meghan is anticipated to use a more “come and go” approach, as she manages her brand in California.

The duchess severed the brand’s ties with Netflix earlier this year, with the mother of two taking complete control of the business with the aim to take it global.

The family’s return marks a dramatic reversal of their 2020 departure, when they relinquished their roles as senior working royals and decamped to California.

They will retain their Montecito residence while settling outside London as private, non-working members of the Royal Family – despite costs potentially surpassing $600,000 annually.

Both children have already been enrolled in school in England, though the precise location remains undisclosed for security purposes.

King Charles was informed of his son’s plans to return only days before the family arrived, according to confirmed reports. The monarch is understood to welcome the prospect of greater personal contact with Harry and his young family.

Prince William and the Princess of Wales were likewise briefed on the decision ahead of the couple’s arrival on British shores – with the prince said to have been left “extremely unhappy”.
