Meghan Markle has faced some backlash from parents and safety-conscious viewers following her latest As Ever promotional video.

The 44-year-old showcased breakfast preparations that included serving children’s yoghurt parfaits in vintage-style glass coupe vessels.

In the Instagram video, she assembled the parfaits using As Ever jam and honey alongside yoghurt and fruit.

“You could do a yoghurt parfait in a normal bowl, or you could just make it a little bit more special,” she said whilst demonstrating with the fragile glassware.

Her declaration that “All of this is great for kids” prompted backlash from some concerned viewers.

Voicing their alarm about the safety implications, one social media user said: “I would not put children’s yoghurt parfaits in delicate, breakable glasses.”

Another commenter suggested the breakfast idea might suit “a ladies’ luncheon but not the primary school set.”

A third person quipped: “I like that she’s cooking in a white shirt. My small children would use it as a canvas.”

Similarly, a royal fan recommended using “Tupperware or similar soft plastic” to prevent breakages.

However, several fans came to Meghan’s defence, with one writing: “Does it take much not to nit pick and leave her alone?”

Another said: “Meghan’s jam is delicious, easy to consume in a yoghurt for people like me who don’t like ready-made fruit yoghurts.”

The mother of Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, frequently shares videos online about how to make eating fun for young children.

Earlier this year, an episode of “With Love, Meghan” featured birthday celebration suggestions for little ones.

Her party favour recommendations included packets containing seeds, miniature gardening implements, sugar snap peas and sweet basil.

She also proposed distributing manuka honey sticks as a healthy substitute for sugary snacks.

The duchess recently announced “something big” was forthcoming for As Ever customers before the festive season.

Her brand recently launched holiday products, including £50 scented candles and a £25 sage honey with honeycomb.
