Liverpool twins quit jobs to focus on truth-or-dare series | UK News

Twins Louise and Lyndsey Scott started sharing their truth-or-dare videos online a year ago

From a young age, twins Louise and Lyndsey Scott loved carrying out pranks on their unsuspecting family.

Now the 26-year-olds, from Liverpool, have turned their passion for practical jokes into their dream careers.

The siblings, who have been posting truth-or-dare videos on social media for the past year, have been able to quit their full-time jobs in hospitality following the success of their online series.

“It’s amazing and the best thing ever. Now we can put 100% of our time into this,” said Lyndsey.

“It feels like the time is right.”

“We’ve always been pranksters,” said Louise.

“We’ve always pranked our family, and we’ve always been up to no good – like putting people up to fun challenges, or prank calls.

“We grew up watching Ant and Dec, so we always knew we wanted to be in the entertainment realm.”

At the age of nine, the pair began recording The Twin Show on a blow-up couch in their bedroom.

They always hoped one day they might be able to pursue a career in TV.

“We had no idea how to even get into TV or presenting,” said Lynsey.

“There was no access into that, and especially on no budget and working full-time.

“It was, like, almost impossible.”

But, inspired by Amelia Dimoldenberg, the determined siblings started sharing content on social media.

“We were, like, ‘how can we combine our own show and fun pranks?… let’s do a content series called Truth or Dare’,” explained Lynsey.

“That originally started with pestering the public – putting strangers up to crazy, stupid truth-and-dares.

“And we’ve now expanded it to having celebrity guests on as well.”

Their videos – posted under @lyndseyandlouise, on Instagram and TikTok – have racked up more than 28 million views.

“Our aim in life is to always have fun, so why not encourage strangers to do that!” said Louise.
