GB News presenter Martin Daubney has attracted praise for responding to Channel 4 star Kirstie Allsopp over the current BBC scandal.
Channel 4 presenter Ms Allsopp posted a statement on X, formerly Twitter, regarding director-general Tim Davie’s resignation from the broadcaster.
Mr Davie’s resignation came after a BBC Panorama documentary was said to have misled viewers, with Deborah Turness, the CEO of News, having also resigned.
The BBC Panorama documentary in question was found to have aired misleading information after a speech by US President Donald Trump was edited.

Taking to X on Monday evening, Ms Allsopp wrote to her followers: “Do people not realise how dangerous it is only to read, watch or listen to journalists that have the same political view point as their own?”
Amid a flood of responses, Martin, who has a self-titled show on GB News, replied: “That’s precisely how the BBC got themselves into this mess.”
Many social media users responded in agreement, with one writing: “All us licence payers should be cancelling our tv licences because of breach of trust!”
“People have selective memories. Panorama have a lot of questions to answer over the years. Also how they can deliberately ignore what BBC have done recently with the documentary re Gaza and the gender ideology and so on, or better still why do they think it’s ok?” another argued.

Mr Davie, who was director-general for five years, oversaw a number of BBC controversies in recent months, including its coverage of Gaza and Glastonbury.
In a statement on Sunday, Mr Davie said: “I wanted to let you know that I have decided to leave the BBC after 20 years.
“This is entirely my decision, and I remain very thankful to the Chair and Board for their unswerving and unanimous support throughout my entire tenure, including during recent days.
“I am working through exact timings with the Board to allow for an orderly transition to a successor over the coming months.
“I have been reflecting on the very intense personal and professional demands of managing this role over many years in these febrile times, combined with the fact that I want to give a successor time to help shape the Charter plans they will be delivering.
