Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty is believed to have barred his mother, Caroline, from attending his Christmas wedding to Holly Ramsay, following a family dispute that began when the 59-year-old was excluded from her future daughter-in-law’s hen party celebrations.
The three-time Olympic gold medallist’s relationship with his mother is said to have deteriorated to such an extent that she has been instructed not to attend the ceremony at Bath Abbey next month, according to multiple sources.
The 25-year-old influencer and daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay held her pre-wedding festivities at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire over the weekend, with guests including her mother Tana, Victoria Beckham, and Adam’s sister Bethany.
However, Caroline Peaty remained at home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, caring for her five-year-old grandson George, whom Adam shares with former partner Eirianedd Munro.

The exclusion has sparked a public family dispute that has exposed deeper tensions within the Peaty family.
Caroline’s sister Louise Williams launched a scathing attack on Holly through Instagram, accusing her of “divisive and hurtful” behaviour towards a woman who had “opened her home and heart to you”.
In her public post, Louise highlighted the apparent double standard, writing: “You decided, for whatever reason, not to invite her, your prospective mother-in-law to your hen night yet Adam invited his father-in-law, your dad, to his stag night.”
She added that Holly had invited “your mum (quite rightly) and even your mum’s assistant, your sisters, your friends, my niece, but not my sister, your future mother-in-law.”

Caroline subsequently shared her own emotional Instagram post, stating: “Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can’t explain how broken your heart is.”
The post attracted supportive messages from friends, with one commenting: “You know considering they are both supposed to be mental health advocates they don’t seem to be showing much regard for yours.”
Following Louise’s post, sources indicate that Adam contacted his mother to inform her she was barred from the wedding and would no longer see his son George or any future grandchildren.
Insiders close to the working-class Peaty family claim the swimmer has become distant since beginning his relationship with Holly, suggesting he feels his family “is not good enough” for his new celebrity circle.
Caroline famously supported her son’s swimming career by rising at 4am to drive him to training sessions at the City of Derby swimming club, waiting for up to two hours before returning home to her job as a nursery manager.
Sources revealed that Adam’s parents “sacrificed so much” for his Olympic success, even accumulating debt to support his training.

The wedding guest list from Adam’s family has reportedly been reduced to just his sister Bethany, with other relatives unable to afford accommodation costs for the Bath ceremony.
According to family sources, Caroline had initially received an invitation and enthusiastically purchased a dress, but the couple disapproved and offered to buy her a replacement of their choosing.
A planned shopping trip to Bath, funded by Adam, was cancelled due to train disruptions following stabbings in Huntingdon two weeks ago, with sources claiming the swimmer became angry about the wasted expense despite his millionaire status.
Meanwhile, a source close to the couple told The Sun that “wider problems in the Peaty family” exist, involving “horrible threats of violence against both Holly and Adam from one individual.”
