Ethan Ampadu says Harry Wilson’s outstanding club form comes as no surprise to those inside the Wales camp, insisting the forward has been delivering at a high level for years.

Ampadu believes Wilson’s growing influence at Fulham now mirrors the importance he has long held for Wales, particularly since Gareth Bale’s retirement.

“It’s no surprise. We’ve seen his quality for many years,” said Ampadu.

Wales are preparing to host Bosnia-Herzegovina in a World Cup qualifying play-off semi-final in Cardiff on Thursday.
