Lancashire have re-signed Ireland captain Gaby Lewis as their overseas player for the One-Day Cup this summer.

Opening batter Lewis played five games for Lancashire in the competition at the end of 2025, scoring 272 runs.

That included one half-century and a brilliant 141 not out as Lancashire beat Hampshire in the final.

Lewis, 24, has played a combined 175 internationals in 50-over and T20 cricket.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be coming back to Lancashire this summer for another spell at Emirates Old Trafford with an amazing group of people,” she told the club’s website, external.

“To play my part in the run-in at the end of last season was incredibly special, and the support from the players, staff and fans made it even more memorable.

“Winning the final the way we did is something I’ll always remember, and I’m excited about the challenge of defending our title together in 2026.”

She will link up with the Red Rose squad before the first game of their trophy defence at Durham on 11 April.
