A 17-year-old boy has died in a two-car crash near Eastbourne on Friday evening, police say.

Sussex Police said the teenager died after the car in which he was a passenger collided with another car near Shooters Bottom car park, by Beachy Head, at about 21:30 BST on 26 June.

A 19-year-old man from Polegate and a 21-year-old man from Hellingly, who were also in the car, and the 21-year-old driver of the second car were all seriously injured.

The force said it was appealing for witnesses.

Det Sgt Ian Foxton, from Sussex Police’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “We are aware there were a number of people in the area at the time of the collision and we would ask anyone who hasn’t spoken to us or has any video or dashcam footage to get in touch.”
