Speaking exclusively to GB News, Rhian Mostyn Jones described the experience as the moment she began losing confidence in traditional banking.

The Welsh tour guide, who is married to celebrity farmer Gareth Wyn Jones, had wanted to put the savings towards a new venture. Instead, she says she faced repeated questions and obstacles.

“It was only around £6,000, but I was questioned repeatedly and couldn’t move my own money freely,” she said.

“I had to go into the bank, answer questions for 45 minutes, and they still wouldn’t let me use the money for our new business. That’s when I started to lose confidence in the system.”

Her frustration prompted her to explore other ways of holding her savings.

After coming across discussions about gold investment in the news and on social media, Ms Mostyn Jones began researching physical gold. The appeal, she explained, was having something she could hold herself.
