Two men have died after falling into an industrial silage tank at a farm in Cheshire.
The men, aged 42 and 72, were both working on the farm in Aston by Budworth, near Northwich, when they fell into the tank at about 12:20 BST on Wednesday, Cheshire Police said.
Police, firefighters and paramedics attended the farm on Cann Lane and rescued the men from the tank.
However, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
The men’s next of kin have been informed and police said an investigation was under way to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The force said the men’s families had “requested for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time”.
Cann Lane was closed while emergency services attended the incident.
