Minister of State for Care Stephen Kinnock has detailed Labour’s seven per cent uplift in the minimum income guarantee for disabled people.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Kinnock said: “The reason I’m out on the morning rounds today, actually, is to announce a seven per cent uplift in the minimum income guarantee for disabled people.

“So some of the most vulnerable people in our society, they have a statutory minimum income, we’re increasing that by seven per cent, the biggest increase in a decade, and also £723million for the Disabled Facilities grant to help people do adaptations to their homes like stair lifts through lifts, improving their bathroom facilities, etc. So it’s a really important package of reforms in terms of local government.”
