A man has been charged with causing criminal damage as police continue to investigate a series of attacks on Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) across Greater Manchester.

Ruben Brito, 35, is charged with two counts of causing criminal damage to a property in Littleton Road, Salford, on 18 and 22 October.

Brito, of Chapel Road in Prestwich, will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on 3 March 2027.

He has been bailed until that date, Greater Manchester Police said.

As many 50 houses have been attacked across Salford, Tameside and Stockport in recent weeks.

Five men, a woman and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and conspiracy to cause criminal damage.
