Sainsbury’s has unveiled a brand-new Taste the Difference British Salad Selection Box, the first of its kind on the market.

The limited-edition box weighs in at 800g and costs £5, or around £6.25 per kilogram.

Inside, shoppers will find three British favourites: Taste the Difference pointed peppers, a midi cucumber, and two different varieties of tomatoes.

Everything in the pack is grown right here in the UK, making it a simple way to grab quality seasonal produce in one go this summer.

The box will save shoppers nearly 25 per cent

The box saves customers around 24 per cent on average compared with picking up each item individually.

But it won’t be around forever. Sainsbury’s is only stocking the salad box for a limited six-week window, so fans of a good summer salad will want to move quickly.

You can find it in selected Sainsbury’s superstores across the country, and it is also available to order online nationwide.

It is available now, joining the supermarket’s already extensive lineup of British fruit and veg — perfect timing as the summer growing season hits its stride.

The salad box is the result of a partnership between Sainsbury’s and growers in Kent that stretches back more than 17 years.

That long-standing relationship is what made this new product possible in the first place.

The collaboration supports UK horticulture and helps bring more homegrown produce onto Sainsbury’s shelves — something shoppers increasingly love to see.

All the produce in the box is cultivated in Kent, showcasing the quality and variety that British growers can deliver when given the backing of a major retailer over the long term.

Shoppers have just six weeks to pick up a seasonal veg kit

SAINSBURY’S

Director of produce at Sainsbury’s, Hannah O’Reilly, said: “The British growing season produces some fantastic salad ingredients and we’re delighted to bring together a selection of customer favourites in our new Taste the Difference Salad Selection Box.

“Made possible through our long-term relationships with British growers, it offers a convenient way to enjoy a selection of seasonal salad staples while delivering great value.

“It’s a celebration of the quality and variety of produce grown across the UK this summer.”
