Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie returned to the UK following separate trips abroad, embracing in an emotional moment.

The sisters hugged when they met in Mayfair, London, in their first public appearance together since their father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, was stripped of all his royal titles and his Windsor home.

The princesses were spotted chatting intensely in the street as they walked through London’s richest district.

At one point, the pair appeared to be consoling each other.

The sisters stopped on a street corner for a few minutes, talking without smiles, before embracing and departing on their separate ways.

Their intense hug came on a busy street nearby to Buckingham Palace, around the time the King issued a Letters Patent, the official document to strip Andrew of his Prince title and his HRH.

Beatrice and Eugenie will both keep their princess titles and membership of the “House of York”, with it understood that Charles seeks to protect his nieces.

Both daughters are close to their parents, but have reportedly been spending more time supporting their father.

They have also backed their mother, Sarah Ferguson, who has reportedly been spending her time in “The Doghouse” bar.

Both daughters were wrapped up in winter coats, with it unknown if they were talking about their father’s situation.

Eugenie was seen earlier this week laughing with her husband, Jack Brooksband, in Notting Hill.

The couple looked happy as they engaged in conversation, walking through London.

The US Congress demanded that Andrew join them for an interview about his “long-standing friendship” with Jeffrey Epstein.

It told the former prince: “The committee is seeking to uncover the identities of Mr Epstein’s co-conspirators and enablers, and to understand the full extent of his criminal operations.

“Well-documented allegations against you, along with your long-standing friendship with Mr Epstein, indicate that you may possess knowledge of his activities relevant to our investigation.

“In the interest of justice for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein, we request that you cooperate with the committee’s investigation by sitting for a transcribed interview with the committee.”

The letter was addressed to Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, where Andrew is set to leave in the new year.

It outlines Andrew’s “close relationship” with Epstein and references a recently revealed email exchange from the pair in 2011.

In the thread, the former duke told Epstein: “We are in this together.”

The letter makes references to Virginia Giuffre, discussing the “several allegations that you [Andrew] abused her when she was just 17-years-old”.

Andrew has consistently denied all allegations against him, and the Metropolitan Police previously considered the sex assault claims were not sufficient to warrant further investigation.
