Prince William shared a hug with a member of the public during a trip to North Wales.

The moment happened during the Prince of Wales’s journey to Colwyn Bay, where he went on a beach walk with members of the Marine Conservation Society’s Youth Ocean Network.

The network comprises a team of young people who work with the Marine Conservation Society to support youth engagement in marine conservation across the UK.

William then met volunteers and young people involved in the Marine Conservation Society’s Hiraeth Yn Y Mor project, before speaking to members of the public.

Upon meeting people, one individual grasped the prince and hugged him.

William engaged with the public, taking selfies and stopping for conversation.

The father of three heard stories from children as part of the Marine Conservation Society’s Hiraeth Yn Y Mor project and discussed the importance of spending time by the sea for mental wellbeing.

The prince then visited an organisation called Youth Shedz, who create a safe space for young people who might have been experiencing challenges such as school exclusion, bullying and other social issues, such as homelessness.

Youth Shedz aims to give children the opportunity to join activities and workshops and build life skills.

The Prince of Wales visited the organisation’s headquarters in the village of Mochdre.

It marks the first venture to Wales for William, with him due to visit Newport in just under a week.

The Prince of Wales will travel to centres at the Wales Investment Summit, where he will champion Welsh industries and their appeal to investors.

His journeys coincide with his brother delivering the headline keynote address at the Ontario Real Estate Association’s (OREA) Power House Conference, hosted at the Hilton Toronto.

William’s visit will focus on economic development in Wales, and Harry will address themes of service and leadership at the OREA’s flagship event.

The Welsh Government has organised the summit to showcase Wales as a vibrant, sustainable economy that addresses international business trends whilst fostering green employment and carbon reduction.

William will tour KLA’s advanced research, development and manufacturing operations.

His speech at the summit will recognise the substantial contribution of innovative industries to both the Welsh economy and the wider community.

The royal visit focuses on elevating Wales’s reputation as an attractive location for domestic and overseas investment.

Harry’s appearance at the Ontario property sector’s major conference marks a departure from typical real estate content.

The Duke of Sussex will address attendees on themes centred on service and leadership, rather than property-market topics.
