Prince William was asked about the Royal Family’s process in dealing with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor during an overseas engagement today.

During his diplomatically sensitive visit to Saudi Arabia, the Prince of Wales was confronted with questions regarding his uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

A journalist called out to William while he was attending a training session for girls’ football in the country.

The reporter asked the royal: “Sir, to what extent do you think the Royal Family has done enough around the Andrew and Epstein scandal?”

The question was unanswered by the heir to the throne.

It is unclear whether William actually heard the question, given that it was shouted across a considerable distance.

On Monday, the Prince and Princess of Wales issued a joint statement on the Epstein files just hours before Prince William arrived in Saudi Arabia for a three-day visit to the country.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his former wife Sarah Ferguson have both appeared in the documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein.

The former Duke and Duchess of York have always denied any wrongdoing.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said on behalf of Catherine and William: “The Prince and Princess of Wales have been deeply concerned by the continued revelations.

“Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”

Buckingham Palace have confirmed they will support the police if they are approached for information regarding King Charles’s disgraced brother.

They added that the monarch is “profoundly concern at allegations” against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The document release represents one of the largest disclosures related to the case, intensifying scrutiny on those connected to the late financier who died 2019.

Appearing in the Epstein files is not evidence of any wrongdoing, and inclusion in the documents does not implicate anyone in Epstein’s criminality.

Kensington Palace moved to clarify the Prince and Princess of Wales’ stance just hours before William embarked on his trip to Saudi Arabia.

The palace was clearly eager for the royal couple’s position to be established, allowing the prince to concentrate fully on representing the UK.

The former Duke and Duchess of York’s links to Epstein have cast a shadow over royal engagements in recent weeks, drawing attention away from the family’s official duties.
