The National Lottery is continuing its hunt for an unknown winner from Derbyshire who scooped a substantial prize worth £10,000 every month for an entire year.

A lucky ticket was purchased at a shop somewhere within the Borough of Amber Valley and secured the Set For Life prize during last month’s draw.

Lottery operator Allwyn has been attempting to track down the mystery winner since the draw took place on Monday, May 18, 2026.

The prize, totalling £120,000 over twelve months, remains uncollected despite appeals from lottery officials urging local players to examine their tickets

With the deadline for reporting lost or destroyed tickets expiring today, time is running out for anyone who may have misplaced their winning slip to submit a written claim.

The full prize claim window extends until November 14, 2026.

The winning ticket successfully matched all five main numbers in the draw – 3, 21, 22, 28 and 38 – securing the monthly payout.

For anyone who believes they may be the rightful winner but cannot locate their ticket, the deadline to submit a written claim to Allwyn for a lost, stolen or destroyed ticket is today, June 17.

Those still in possession of their ticket have considerably longer to come forward, with the final deadline for all claims set at November 14, 2026.

Should no valid claim be received before that date, the prize money along with any accumulated interest will be redirected to support National Lottery-funded projects throughout the United Kingdom.

Players have 180 days from any draw date to claim their winnings, after which unclaimed funds benefit good causes rather than remaining in lottery coffers.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, has issued an urgent appeal to anyone who may have purchased a Set For Life ticket in the Amber Valley area around the time of the draw.

“We’re appealing to players who may have bought a ticket in the Borough of Amber Valley for the Set For Life draw on 18 May to check and double-check their tickets,” Mr Carter said.

He added: “Do you live in the Amber Valley or perhaps you were passing through and played Set For Life? You could be our missing winner. We’d like nothing more than to unite our mystery ticket-holder with their incredible prize.”

Those wishing to verify whether they hold a winning ticket can do so through the National Lottery app or by visiting national-lottery.co.uk.

Retail tickets can also be scanned using the app to determine if they are winners.

Anyone who believes they hold the winning ticket or has queries about any National Lottery draw within the 180-day claim period should contact the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email [email protected].

The Set For Life prize is just one of several substantial sums currently awaiting collection across the country, with more than £7 million in lottery winnings remaining unclaimed nationwide.

Other areas with outstanding prizes include Doncaster, Edinburgh and Northampton.
