Several new vehicles have been included in the Electric Car Grant, offering drivers more choice than ever to get their hands on a zero emission vehicle.

Kia has confirmed that its EV3 Air and GT-Line models have been approved for the £1,500 Electric Car Grant, in addition to the new EV4 Motion variant.

When the Grant is applied to the EV3, prices will start from £31,555 for the Standard Range (58.3kWh battery) and £34,555 for the Long Range (81.4kWh battery).

Kia confirmed that the EV2 also benefits from the £1,500 ECG, having previously taken advantage of the Kia Reservation Saving.

Kia introduced this saving measure as it awaited approval from the Government to be included in the Electric Car Grant scheme.

The £1,5000 ECG will apply to all EV2 First Edition customer orders, including retail and fleet models.

The Kia EV2 Air, GT-Line and GT-Line S attract a £3,750 saving directly from the manufacturer, with the Government expected to include the models in the ECG later this year.

Drivers looking to get their hands on the Kia EV2 First Edition will pay just £26,995 and receive up to 281 miles of battery range from the compact crossover.

French manufacturer Renault will also be included in the Electric Car Grant, with its Scenic E-Tech model being awarded the full £3,750 saving.

It noted that this was achieved through its use of 100 per cent of renewable energy at its LG plant in Poland and manufacturing base in Douai, France.

Several other Renault models are also included in the grant scheme. The 4, 5 (52kWh), Alpine A290 and Scenic come under the £3,750 grant, while the 5 (40kWh) and Megane get a £1,500 discount.

Adam Wood, managing director of Renault UK, said: “In the first three months of 2026, Renault’s EV registrations in the UK grew 87 per cent year-on-year, powered by a combination of the launches of the award-winning Renault 4 and Renault 5 and the growing consumer confidence and momentum built by the government’s Electric Car Grant.”
