Meghan Markle’s second podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, produced by Lemonada Media, has been shortlisted in one category at the 4th Annual Signal Awards.

The Duchess of Sussex previously had a streaming deal alongside Prince Harry with Spotify, where Meghan hosted a podcast titled “Archetypes”, which ended after just 12 poorly-received episodes.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Lemonada said: “We’ve been nominated for THREE @signalawards. Best Host: @hasanminhaj for Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know (@HMDK). Business & Culture: Confessions of a Female Founder with @meghan. Self-Improvement: My So-Called Midlife with @reshmasaujani.

“It’s an honor to be recognized, and now we need your support. Cast your vote and help us take these awards home. Every vote matters.”

Produced by Lemonada, the show featured the Duchess of Sussex in candid conversations with women who have built businesses, exploring the risks, setbacks and breakthroughs behind their careers.

Episodes also included Meghan’s reflections on creating her own lifestyle brand, As Ever, which debuted earlier this year with products ranging from food mixes to wine.

In June, the Duchess of Sussex confirmed she was putting the podcast on hold to “focus on my business,” saying: “I love that there’s so much excitement and desire for another season, but I need to focus on my business.”

Lemonada Media, founded in 2019 by Jessica Cordova Kramer and Stephanie Wittels Wachs, has built a reputation for socially minded, narrative-driven audio.

Its collaboration with Meghan is one of its most high-profile ventures to date and has helped bring the company wider attention in both the entertainment and business worlds.

The Signal Awards recognise excellence across the podcast industry. Confessions of a Female Founder is nominated in the Business & Culture category, highlighting its focus on entrepreneurship and modern work culture.

The show was also mentioned in the Self-Improvement grouping through Lemonada’s wider announcement, reflecting how it blends business discussion with personal growth and resilience.

While the Best Host nomination went to comedian Hasan Minhaj for a separate programme, Lemonada’s post groups the three nominations as a collective success and encourages listeners to vote.

Confessions of a Female Founder followed Meghan’s previous series, Archetypes, which examined labels that hold women back.

That earlier show topped podcast charts but ended after one season.

Although no new episodes of Confessions of a Female Founder are currently in production, the nominations mark a significant acknowledgement of Meghan’s first season and its impact.

They also show continued audience interest even as she concentrates on expanding her As Ever brand.
