A major banking group has once again been hit by another app outage which has left thousands of customers unable to manage their money.
Lloyds Banking Group, which includes Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and Bank of Scotland, is the latest financial institution to experience technical issues.
This comes after Lloyds’ customers experienced a bank app outage last week with many taking to social media to share their annoyance over the situation.
According to outage monitor Down Detector, there was a spike in complaints from Lloyds customers at around 1:30 pm with nearly 3,000 people unable to access their online banking.

GETTYSimilarly, hundreds of Halifax customers reported similar issues around the same time.
Responding to customer complaints on X, a Lloyds Bank spokesperson said: “We’re sorry if you’re having trouble logging in to online banking and our app right now. We’re on it and working to get things back to normal as quickly as we can.”
However, many customers noted this represents the the second time within a week that they have been locked out of their accounts, with the outage taking place on August 18.
Last week’s outage is understood have impacted 26 million customers across the Lloyds Banking Group.
On top of this, Britain’s biggest banking group has also been inflicted with a series of data sharing problems over the past year.
Recently, more than 400,000 users were able to access other customers’ transactions across Halifax, Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland.
