The Green Party has been accused of being “manipulated” by “Islamists” following their Gorton and Denton by-election win.

Speaking to GB News, Journalist Jake Wallis Simons said the Greens had been used as a “Trojan Horse” by Muslim voters, leading to their victory.

Green MP Hannah Spencer’s win has sparked outrage and allegations of “cheating and sectarianism” after securing victory with 14,980 votes, leaving Reform UK’s Matt Goodwin in second place with 10,578 votes.

Following her win, Ms Spencer declared there will a “Green tidal wave”, adding the “real work begins”.

The new MP for Gorton & Denton said: “This by-election has shown there is no such thing as a safe seat. There is no place where the Green Party cannot win.

“Come and join so we can spread hope and win everywhere across the country. This is just the beginning… our momentum will carry on. You’ve seen a Green surge tonight and just you wait you’ll see a Green tidal wave at the next General Election. We are here to replace Labour…now the real work begins.”

Offering his stark verdict of the election result, Mr Wallis Simons told GB News: “I think that people often don’t really aren’t alive to what’s going on here. This isn’t just a a result a protest vote out of nowhere, this is part of the concerted effort by well organised and well funded Islamists to exert increasing control over our democracy with the goal of imposing Sharia Law.

“And that sounds like a conspiracy theory, but all one needs to do is go back to 2015. Read the report produced for the Government by Sir John Jenkins about the Muslim Brotherhood, which lays out exactly how they work, infiltrating the institutions and levers of democracy in their host country to try to impose Sharia incrementally.

“Not resorting to terrorism straight away, but working over a generational timetable to gradually infiltrate society and change it in its image while everybody else doesn’t realise what’s going on. I think that’s really what we’re seeing.”

Criticising the Greens for being “manipulative” in their campaign ahead of the election, Mr Wallis Simons argued: “The Greens think they’ve done well – they’ve been manipulative in their way, talking out of both sides of their mouth to the white working class population and talking about the cost of living to the Muslim population.

“They’ve been talking about Gaza as if that’s relevant to Manchester, which it isn’t. But they’ve been manipulated in their turn. They’ve won the seat, but on the back of Islamists using their party as a Trojan horse.

Stressing it is a “worrying development” for the country and British politics, Mr Wallis Simons warned the system is “changing” into “five-party politics”.

One of the Green Party’s campaign videos for the Gorton and Denton by-election used Urdu captioning | X/GREEN PARTY

He explained: “And this is deeply worrying development for Britain because we’re moving away from a two-party system into something resembling proportional representation, a five-party system.

“Where small parties and conservative parties like the Greens may be the kingmakers. So we can have Islamist kingmakers in Parliament calling the shots, that’s what I feel we’re looking at, is the collapse of British democracy.”

Defending Ms Spencer’s campaign video, which was entirely in Urdu, GB News Senior Political Commentator Nigel Nelson argued if they were “targeting voters”, why would they “not put it out in a language that they like they understand?”

Taking issue with Mr Nelson’s argument, Mr Wallis Simons dismissed his suggestion as “naive”.

Jake Wallis Simons told GB News society is ‘being exploited by Islamists’

Mr Wallis Simons said: “I’m afraid this is woefully naive.

“Anyone who knows anything about the Muslim community and how it works in this country from the 2015 report onwards knows that there’s a big problem with being manipulated by Islamist leaders who appoint themselves as leaders of the community, intimidate the community into towing their extremist line.

“There are repercussions for anybody who steps outside of that worldview, who seeks to assimilate more or be more pro-western, and makes Gaza into the central identifying factor in Britain. Gaza should not be what political parties are campaigning about as a central issue.”

He concluded: “You’ve got so many other things going on in our country that affects everyone’s day-to-day. Society is being exploited by Islamists, and as a result of decades of ghettoisation, mass immigration and a lack of assimilation, this is where we’re at today.”
