The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a warm encounter with David Beckham and two of his sons at Tuesday evening’s premiere of Tom Cruise’s latest film, Digger, held at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square.
Sir David, 51, attended alongside Romeo, 24, and Cruz, 21, with all three dressed smartly in black tuxedos to match the royal couple. His eldest son Brooklyn, 27, was notably absent amid a family rift.
The group gathered for a photo before William and Sir David were spotted laughing together.
Catherine, meanwhile, exchanged a few words with the younger Beckhams, offering them a friendly thumbs-up as the couple moved on, a gesture that captured the warmth between the two families. William also pointed to his watch as they departed.

The Princess of Wales looked radiant in a floor-length plum gown by Jenny Packham, featuring flared sleeves, a V-shaped neckline and a striking open back.
Her jewellery choices were particularly eye-catching. She wore the Queen Mother’s Amethyst Sautoir necklace, a piece previously seen on Queen Camilla at the Royal World Premiere of Skyfall at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2012.
Pearl-drop earrings that once belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales, completed the ensemble, displayed to full effect with a heavy curled hairstyle swept back at the sides.
She carried a black clutch purse throughout the evening. William cut an equally polished figure in a velvet evening jacket paired with a bow tie and highly polished shoes, waving to the large crowds who had gathered along the red carpet.

The two families share a friendship stretching back well over a decade. Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham were among the guests at William and Catherine’s Westminster Abbey wedding in 2011.
Romeo had previously met the royal couple at Wembley Stadium during England’s Euro 2020 clash with Germany, where he and his father chatted with William, Catherine and Prince George in the stands.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in 2025, Sir David described himself as a “huge royalist,” adding: “I always get emotional talking about anything that I do with our Royal Family. I was brought up in a household that adored and loved everything that came with the Royal Family.”
He also revealed his devotion to the Prince of Wales: “Whenever the Prince of Wales sends me a message and says ‘I need you to do this’ or ‘Be there’, it’s always a yes.”

The Digger premiere also marked a reunion between the Waleses and Mr Cruise, 64, who last joined them on the red carpet at the UK premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in May 2022.
The Hollywood star was every bit the gentleman on Tuesday, taking Catherine’s hand to guide her down the cinema steps in her gown.
He had spoken warmly of the couple before their arrival, saying: “I just love them. They are lovely people, and I have great respect for them.”
Mr Cruise and Prince William have bonded over a mutual passion for flying. “We have a lot in common,” the actor said at the 2022 premiere. “We both love England, and we’re both aviators; we both love flying.”
The event, the 73rd Royal Film Performance, was held in aid of the Film and TV Charity.
