Cruz Beckham has sparked speculation that he is taking aim at his older brother Brooklyn’s culinary ambitions after uploading a cooking video to TikTok on Friday.
The 21-year-old musician filmed himself preparing a cheesy potato soup topped with bacon bits, captioning the clip: “wanna see the best cooking video ever? Don’t watch this then.”
Viewers were quick to draw comparisons with Brooklyn, 27, who has positioned himself as an aspiring chef and previously hosted a Facebook series called Cookin’ with Brooklyn.
Cruz acknowledged his creation was not visually impressive, commenting that whilst the soup appeared “gross” it was “actually decent.”

The timing has led many fans to interpret the post as a pointed reference to his estranged sibling’s cooking endeavours.
Social media users responded with delight to what many perceived as a deliberate jab at Brooklyn’s career trajectory.
“This is so passive aggressive. I love it!!” wrote one commenter, whilst another declared: “Now this is the level of pettiness I can really appreciate.”
Several users referenced Brooklyn’s history of shifting professional pursuits, with one quipping: “Cruz could you do a video of your photography as well please” – a nod to Brooklyn’s previous attempts at modelling and photography.

Cruz has previously addressed comparisons to his brother directly. When a TikTok user asked if he would “stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next,” he responded: “Wrong brother mate.”
One fan joked that Brooklyn was “currently trying to learn guitar as retaliation.”
Cruz amplified the apparent mockery by reposting the video to Instagram, where he tagged celebrity chef and family friend Gordon Ramsay with the message: “@gordongram watch out!”
The playful warning added another layer to what fans interpreted as a deliberate send-up of Brooklyn’s chef aspirations.

Brooklyn has made cooking a central part of his public identity, regularly sharing videos of his culinary creations on social media platforms.
One TikTok user suggested Cruz should take things further, referencing Brooklyn’s Cloud23 hot sauce brand: “You should make a spicy sauce to sell. That would go nicely with that.”
Another commenter predicted the video might provoke a legal response, writing: “Ur definitely getting a cease and desist.”
The cooking video emerges just days after Cruz publicly expressed his desire to mend relations with Brooklyn.
When approached by a TMZ reporter in Paris last week, Cruz wished his brother a happy 27th birthday and said he “hoped to” repair their fractured relationship.
He had also posted a childhood photograph to Instagram with the message “I love you” for Brooklyn’s birthday, though his brother did not respond publicly.
Brooklyn has reportedly instructed his family that all communication must go through lawyers, having issued a legal letter to his parents last summer.
The eldest Beckham sibling released a statement in January accusing his family of “controlling” him and “disrespecting” his wife Nicola Peltz.
Despite the ongoing estrangement, sources have claimed David and Victoria would welcome Brooklyn back “in a minute.”
