Today, Sir Keir Starmer was humiliated by a group of plucky Chagossians. They’ve taken control of the Chagos Islands, and they are daring Mr “Human Rights Lawyer” to evict them for a second time.

What absolute heroes. Just yesterday, it was claimed that the whole Chagos Island giveaway might be unlawful anyway. Friends of the British Overseas Territories Robert Midgley explained it yesterday on GB News.

I know it’s quite a lot to get your head around there, but basically we’re already signed up to something that means it will be impossible for us to give the Chagos Islands away – which begs the question, why on earth have they been continually trying to do it?

In the last two days, it’s emerged that the Government apparently knew there was no legal basis for giving away the Chagos Islands.

And now the Chagossians have moved back onto the islands. So why, oh, why would Starmer have been so desperate to get rid of the Chagos Islands? Hmm.

Some might say it’s because his great friend is the lawyer for Mauritius. And today, according to the Daily Mail, Philippe Sands KC shared an £8million pot of earnings to work for Mauritius over the Chagos Islands.

Do you know who else Philippe Sands KC has worked alongside? Oh yes. Of course. The Attorney General, Lord Hermer. They were at the same barristers’ chambers for about 10 years, reportedly.

Now, if you ask me, the whole thing stinks. Yesterday, Starmer did his 15th U-turn over the local elections. Chagos should be his 16th U-turn.
