A pedestrian has died after being hit by a road sweeper truck in Salford, Greater Manchester.The 64-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by the 15-ton (15,000kg) vehicle at about 08:15 BST on Cleggs Lane, Little Hulton, Salford, on Tuesday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.He was taken to hospital for treatment but died a few hours later. The driver, a 39-year-old man, was not hurt, GMP added. The force has asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage of it to come forward.
