A tactical voting plot to “Stop Reform” could see the “far-left” pull off a shock victory unless Nigel Farage does a deal with Kemi Badenoch, a veteran Tory MP has told GB News.
Andrew Rosindell, who was first elected as the MP for Romford in 2001, suggested failing to ‘Unite the Right’ could also see the UK backtrack on Brexit.
Speaking to GB News, Mr Rosindell pointed out the policy areas that unite Mr Farage and Mrs Badenoch.
He said: “The Conservative Party and Reform are both on the right of British politics and share many common objectives with the shared aims of protecting Britain’s sovereignty, securing our borders, and upholding the traditional British values that make our country strong and great.
“If we allow division on the right, we risk handing power to a coalition of the left that will weaken our nation and totally reverse the progress we’ve made since Brexit.
“Tactical voting by progressive forces of the left involving Labour, Greens, Liberal Democrats, Scottish and Welsh nationalists and even Jeremy Corbyn’s far-left and Islamic independents is a real threat.
“The polls make it clear that cooperation on the right between Conservatives, Unionists and Reform is essential if we are to stop a far-left Government from seizing control of the UK after the next General Election.”
Mr Rosindell’s comments come just days after it was revealed Labour and Liberal Democrat MPs have been discussing launching a tactical voting operation ahead of the next general election.

Polling by More in Common released last weekend suggested a “rainbow coalition” of left-wing progressive parties could secure enough votes to win a majority of seats.
A tactical voting rate of 60 per cent would halt Mr Farage’s path to power, with progressives salvaging enough seats to win a wafer-thin majority between Labour, the Liberal Democrats, Greens, Scottish National Party and other left-wing MPs.
However, Green Party leader Zack Polanski has suggested he would only enter an alliance with Labour if MPs removed Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister.
Anti-Reform activists felt buoyed by Plaid Cymru’s success in the Caerphilly by-election last October, with Lindsay Whittle winning over thousands of ex-Labour supporters to see off Reform UK by 3,848 votes.
Similar campaigns were mounted in a bid to stop Brexit in 2019 and boot the Tories out of power in 2024.
Talks have so far been conducted behind the scenes, with Labour and Liberal Democrat MPs becoming increasingly jittery about Mr Farage’s support in the country.
And all four major progressive parties have positioned themselves as “anti-Reform”.
However, fears of a “Stop Reform” alliance have done little to persuade allies of Mr Farage to strike a deal with Kemi Badenoch’s Tories.
A Reform source told GB News: “We already know the political establishment will do everything it can to stop Reform.

PA“It’s why every patriotic Brit who wants to secure borders, law and order, and create an economy that rewards hard work must vote for the only party that can beat the left: Reform.”
Mr Farage has also vowed to complete a “reverse takeover” of the Tory Party, with the Reform UK leader previously claiming he will “destroy” his Conservative rivals at the ballot box.
The Clacton MP is slowly pulling away big beasts from the Conservative Party, securing more than 20 defections and several ex-donors.
However, a veteran Tory campaigner suggested talks would need to take place ahead of 2029.
“For the sake of the country, Labour needs to be stopped at all costs,” the top Tory told GB News.

Mr Farage helped propel Boris Johnson to No10 after standing down 317 Brexit Party candidates ahead of the 2019 General Election.
However, Mr Farage and Mrs Badenoch have both dismissed speculation of a pact or merger in 2029.
The Reform UK leader said: “I would never do a deal with a party I don’t trust. No deals, just a reverse takeover.”

Meanwhile, Mrs Badenoch claimed: “If you get into bed with Farage, heaven forbid the image, we are done with your party.”
A Reform UK spokesman said: “We cannot be clearer on this.
“There will be no deals with a Conservative Party that unleashed record mass immigration, trashed the economy, and whose leader Kemi Badenoch was right at the centre of every disastrous decision in Government. The Tories can never be trusted again.”
