Aldi shoppers are in for a treat this week as the budget supermarket brings back one of its most popular products – at-home matcha lattes sachets.

It has also announced new high-protein bites have hit Aldi branches, giving Britons more grab-and-go snack options.

The Mokate Matcha Latte is returning to the famous middle aisle from May 7, priced at just £1.49 for an 84g pack containing six servings.

Fans can pick up the Japanese-inspired drink in both Original and Strawberry varieties as part of the Taste of Asia range.

Britons can’t get enough of matcha right now, with over 4.3 million TikTok videos dedicated to the green tea trend. Matcha products are also making their way into more restaurants, cafes and dessert parlours.

Last summer’s Matcha Latte launch was a massive hit, shifting nearly 700,000 packets nationwide, and shoppers can purchase them again, right in time for summer.

Shoppers keen on the matcha should act fast, as Aldi’s Specialbuys operate on a first-come, first-served basis – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

The easy-to-use sachets work perfectly hot or over ice, making them ideal for warmer days ahead.

Aldi fans on Facebook have described the range as a “favourite,” with the Strawberry flavour earning particular praise as “gorgeous.”Protein lovers have another reason to pop into Aldi, as the new Crestwood Egg Bites have landed in stores.

At £1.99 for a 128g pack, these savoury snacks deliver a quick breakfast or pre-gym fuel. The Spinach & Red Pepper option delivers 19g of protein alongside West Country vintage cheddar.
