While Thomas Markle Sr. has not met his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, King Charles III did reunite with the young Prince and Princess last summer during a gathering at Highgrove House, contrary to Karim’s claims.
Doreen, a London resident, told GB News: “I don’t know if I would say sorry because feeling sorry for someone is a natural instinct. Whatever has happened to her and to Harry, it’s something that happens with normal families and can happen and does happen. So what’s the difference?
“Because of status and because of who she is, it’s escalated, and there’s a lot of what’s going on, unfortunate things, which is normal. I wouldn’t say I would feel sorry for her, but I would be thinking, wow, if I were in her shoes, how would I feel? I think she’s just trying to keep the situation as normal as possible, as best she can.”
In an official statement issued to GB News last Friday, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex addressed the developments and referenced prior communications sent to UK authorities: “I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed.
“In 2018, a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection. That letter was subsequently shared with me. It made troubling and disturbing allegations against my father, and I was given assurances that these were being investigated.
