Mr Horwood explained: “Kissing people in their sleep leads to other things. The solution they’ve created to get around the narrative problem is that the prince meets her in a scene early on, you see they clearly fall in love, they steal a kiss, so it’s consensual.”
It’s not just Sleeping Beauty either, as Mr Horwood, who regularly portrays the wicked stepmother in Cinderella, revealed that the character’s sidekicks have undergone a rebrand.
He said, according to The Telegraph: “I have two accomplices, my ugly daughters. But they’re not allowed to be called ugly anymore because no one is ugly.
“And you can’t fat-shame anyone either. So, now they’re called the sisters. Yeah, it’s a bit weird, isn’t it?”
