The Wales family have departed Balmoral ahead of what promises to be a hectic few days, with all three children due back at school next week.
Prince William, Catherine and their children flew out on a commercial flight earlier this week, following their usual holiday travel arrangements.
Their Scottish stay coincided with the announcement from Prince Harry that he, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet would be relocating back to Britain.
The news was confirmed around the same time William and Catherine first arrived at the royal estate last week.

Whilst at Balmoral, the family joined other senior royals for services at Crathie Kirk, the nearby parish church.
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne with Sir Timothy Laurence, and Prince Edward alongside Lady Louise Windsor were also spotted attending.
Kensington Palace confirmed back in June that Prince George would be enrolling at Eton College from September, marking a significant new chapter for the young prince. Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, meanwhile, will head back to Lambrook for the new term.

The prestigious school sits within sight of Windsor Castle, making it a convenient choice for the family.
The proximity means George will be able to return home with relative ease during term time.
Preparations for George’s arrival are already well under way at Eton.
Fresh ‘No photography’ signs have been installed on fences surrounding the college grounds, aimed at preventing both media and members of the public from intruding on pupils’ privacy.
The measures echo arrangements made when Prince William was a student at the same institution.
During his time there, an agreement was reached with the press: photographers would be granted organised photo opportunities with William on the condition that he was otherwise left undisturbed throughout his school life.
A comparable deal could well be established for Prince George as he begins his time at the college.
Such an arrangement would balance public interest in the future king with the school’s commitment to safeguarding the privacy of its students.
