A man who was shot dead in south-west London has been named by police as Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa.

Officers and paramedics were called to Willington Road, Clapham, just before 22:00 BST on Monday following reports of gunshots near The Landor pub.

The 25-year-old, who worked as a bus driver, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said.

A 22-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of murder after attending hospital with a gunshot wound on Tuesday. He remains in hospital under police guard.

Det Ch Insp Claire Guiver said her thoughts were with the victim’s family as they “come to terms with this tragic incident”.
