Motorists are being warned of long delays and congestion on the M25 this morning following a huge vehicle fire.
The M25 clockwise between J25 (Enfield) and J24 (Potters Bar) traffic has been held due to a huge car blaze.
National Highways has confirmed that the fire service is at the scene and that recovery has been arranged.
Two of the four lanes are now closed as a result of the car fire, with the emergency services remaining in attendance.
Posting on social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, National Highways: East has confirmed that the situation remains ongoing.
Drivers are currently facing delays of 90 minutes and 10 miles of congestion on the approach to the scene of the accident.
