Jeremy Clarkson quipped during his appearance on Heart Breakfast this morning that weight-loss injections have transformed his physique so dramatically he now resembles a figure from an LS Lowry artwork.

The 66-year-old presenter, known for The Grand Tour and Top Gear, was responding to host Jamie Theakston’s observation that he appeared healthy despite recent health concerns.

“Yes, it’s fat jabs,” Mr Clarkson replied when complimented on his appearance.

“I look like a Lowry painting,” he added, drawing a comparison to the artist’s famously slender matchstick figures.

The television personality acknowledged that the previous year had been challenging but insisted he had fully recovered.

“I’m well, thank you very much. It was quite a fraught year last year but, no, I’m absolutely fine now. Tickety-boo!” he declared.

The former Top Gear star has been open about his journey with weight-loss medications, having written extensively about his experiences in The Times.

The broadcaster switched from Ozempic to Mounjaro after finding the former caused significant nausea.

“It made me sick a lot,” he explained in a column published last March.

When collecting a National Television Award for Clarkson’s Farm last year, he jested that Mounjaro had caused his “trousers fall down” due to the weight he had shed.

The presenter joins a growing list of public figures who have spoken publicly about using such treatments, including Dame Prue Leith Sharon Osbourne.

Weight-loss injections have attracted considerable media attention in recent years as more celebrities disclose their use of the medications.

During the radio interview, Mr Clarkson also discussed the forthcoming series of his Prime Video reality programme Clarkson’s Farm, which follows his efforts to manage Diddly Squat Farm near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire.

The presenter teased that viewers should expect heightened tension in the new episodes.

“It is the most dramatic one of the shows we have done so far,” he revealed.

“It gets more and more dramatic towards the end. Yeah, I’ll say no more than that.”

Jeremy Clarkson has become an outspoken advocate for agricultural workers

The series, which debuted in 2021, chronicles the realities of agricultural life and highlights the challenges confronting British farmers, including the financial pressures of running a working farm.

Mr Clarkson first took on the farming venture in 2019 before cameras began documenting his agricultural endeavours.

Since launching his show, Clarkson has become an outspoken advocate for agricultural workers, joining a London demonstration in November 2024 opposing inheritance tax changes affecting farmland.
