Martin Daubney has voiced fury after reports that schoolgirls in a Scottish town were issued rape alarms over fears they were being targeted by migrants.
The broadcaster reacted to a GB News report which revealed that two girls in Dumfries had been given personal safety alarms by police after alleging they were being followed and photographed by men housed in a nearby asylum hotel.
Posting on X, the People’s Channel presenter wrote: “SCHOOLGIRLS GIVEN RAPE ALARMS.
“Asylum seekers in hotels ‘hanging around’ schools ‘to perv on kids’ – stalking girls & taking unwanted photos.

Martin concluded his post by asking: “HOW MUCH MORE OF THIS CAN WE TAKE? (sic).”
The comments come after concerns were raised by parents in the area, with one mother claiming men had been regularly gathering near a school during break times.
She alleged the presence of the individuals had left some girls too frightened to walk through the town, with claims of inappropriate behaviour and unwanted attention.

Police Scotland confirmed that two teenagers had been given personal attack alarms and safety advice following reports of suspicious behaviour.
However, officers said that after conducting enquiries in January, “no criminality was established” in relation to the initial reports.
A separate incident saw a 19-year-old man arrested over potential child protection concerns, though he was later released without charge.
The situation has sparked political concern, with Scottish Conservative MSP Craig Hoy describing the reports as “deeply alarming” and calling for reassurance that those involved are being properly monitored.

The GB News presenter’s post quickly drew strong reactions online, with social media users similarly furious over both the situation and his remarks.
One X user wrote: “I travel regularly to Singapore. Rape alarms are almost unheard of there.”
“Those alarms will do nothing; nobody will intervene to help these girls,” another added, while a third asked: “Are these rape alarms so that the police don’t have to worry about doing their job?”
Others criticised the wider handling of the issue, with one commenting: “I bet there is no sign of the police showing up to protect the children.”

Meanwhile, the Home Office has said the government is working to reduce reliance on asylum hotels, stating that the number of migrants housed in such accommodation has already fallen significantly from previous levels.
A spokesperson said ministers remain committed to closing asylum hotels altogether and moving individuals into more basic housing.
