Top Tory Robert Jenrick has shared his feelings on GB News after three former Tory MPs flocked to Reform UK on Monday.

Jonathan Gullis, Lia Nici and Chris Green announced on Monday that they had defected to Nigel Farage’s party, taking the total number of ex-Tories in Mr Farage’s ranks to 18.

Speaking on Martin Daubney’s show, the Newark MP stoically said: “They’re friends of mine.

“I am sad that they’ve chosen to leave the Conservative Party. They were good Members of Parliament, and I hope they continue to to serve in some capacity in public life.

“The Conservative Party has got to change and prove to the public that it can have their trust and confidence once again.”

In the wake of the defections, Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch dismissed fears of a defection deluge to Reform UK after three former Tory MPs crossed the floor to join Reform.
