The crash happened at the junction of Lloyd Street and Lowthorpe Street

A man is in a life-threatening condition after a crash between his motorbike and a car in the Manchester neighbourhood of Moss Side.

The 19-year-old was thrown off his Suzuki in the collision with a Toyota Corolla at a junction in Lloyd Street at about 19:20 GMT on Friday, Greater Manchester Police said.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or footage related to the crash to contact them.
