Former American football player Antonio Brown made a dark reference to the September assassination of political commentator Charlie Kirk during a livestream appearance at rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Florida residence.

The incident occurred whilst Brown was playing casual football outside the property with YouTube personality Adin Ross and the controversial rapper.

When passing vehicles approached the home, Brown turned to Ross and asked, “No one’s gonna Charlie Kirk me, right?”

The remark referenced Kirk’s fatal shooting at Utah Valley University, where the 31-year-old commentator was killed whilst engaging with students in debate.

The rapper reportedly made a similar comment when other fans had driven past the property earlier.

Brown’s visit to the property came after his recent extradition from Dubai to America, where he faces charges of attempted murder.

The former wide receiver is accused of shooting at an individual during a boxing event in Miami this May.

The gathering at 6ix9ine’s residence remained tense due to the rapper’s previous legal troubles and a recent burglary at the property. This heightened security concerns prompted Brown’s morbid query about potential threats.

Kirk met his death in September whilst participating in a debate with university students. The political commentator was 31 years old when an assailant fatally shot him during the campus event in Utah.

The charges against Brown relate to an alleged shooting at a boxing event organised by Ross in Miami during May.

The incident reportedly involved Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, who had previously disrupted Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show in February by waving a Palestinian flag.

Video footage from the boxing event appeared to show Brown engaged in a physical altercation in a car park before a gunshot rang out, causing spectators to flee.

Brown later acknowledged that he had “slammed” someone’s security guard during the incident.

Following the altercation, Brown claimed on social media that Nantambu had attempted to “steal from me and threaten my life.”

The Washington Post subsequently reported that authorities had issued an arrest warrant for the former athlete.

During the livestream visit, Brown participated in lie detector tests alongside 6ix9ine.

The examination revealed he was being dishonest about regretting his notorious shirtless departure from MetLife Stadium in 2022, though he truthfully acknowledged maintaining positive feelings towards Ben Roethlisberger and his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The former athlete’s legal difficulties extend well beyond the current charges. In 2019, he faced allegations of rape and sexual misconduct, ultimately reaching a settlement with his accuser.

He entered a no contest plea to felony battery and burglary charges in June 2020. Most recently, authorities arrested Brown in 2023 over allegations concerning unpaid child support obligations.
